Organic, natural moments
Family Photography & Videography
My goal for family sessions is to always have an experience that is enjoyable and memorable. These years are short, the chaos is real and I always lean into the candid moments that reflect that part of childhood. I want my clients to know that family photos don’t need to be something on the to-do list that is stressful and that they dread doing. Let's be honest, babies can’t be directed (toddlers definitely can't be forced into anything they don’t want to do) siblings argue and sometimes clothes get dirty. That's why I take a gentle approach of leaning into watching the world from your child's eyes, run free with your children, give them big hugs, let them explore the world around us. These are the moments you’ll want to remember.
There are so many opportunities with family photography and video to capture this time of your lives without sitting posed in front of the camera. I encourage my clients to lean into more of a lifestyle approach to their session. Sometimes that's finding a beautiful location to let your children explore, while sometimes the best place to capture memories is in your own home. Grab your loved ones, plan an activity or just go about a normal day and let the magic happen!
I offer both photography and videography for my family sessions. There is something really special about what video can capture that photos can’t. Movement, sound, the teetering of a toddler or what it looks like for everyone to break into laughter. If you are interested in shooting video or combining it with a photo session, I always love to talk through my clients with their vision for a small video piece.
As I became a mother, I realized how quickly our children change, how quickly you forget small details and suddenly they are a different version of themselves. We ourselves change and often we don’t take time to appreciate it. If not for appreciating now, I believe in the future and decades ahead these photos we have of our families will be so important.

Generations together forever
Extended Family Sessions
I think a lot of people are a little nervous about these types of sessions. Conflicting schedules to coordinate, often a lot of children and different ages to wrangle, but I think extended family sessions are magic. Growing up I was never given the opportunity to take photos with my great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins ( apart from maybe a christmas photo every year in front of the fireplace) What a wonderful thing to have generations together, to freeze those small moments in time forever. Some of my favorite images I’ve ever taken are grandmothers holding new babies, or 10 grandchildren hugging grandpa. These sessions are also usually a lot of laughs and just a really fun thing to do with all your people
